Choose any NWSL team

FIFA 23 introduces 12 teams from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), allowing players to select any of them through the newly branded EA Sports FC mode. Thanks to an official licensing partnership between EA Sports and the NWSL Players Association, real-life players from the league appear in the game. With these additions, FIFA 23 now includes 36 professional women’s football teams.

All 36 playable teams are available in Kick-Off, Classic, Volta, tournament, co-op seasons, and online friendlies. The game also features four authentic NWSL stadiums, as well as enhanced coverage of major women’s football events like the 2023 Women’s World Cup and the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Additionally, four new European clubs — including Real Madrid and Juventus — have been added to make the UWCL experience more complete.

While FIFA 23 doesn’t completely reinvent the wheel, it takes significant steps forward that make the series feel refreshed. The inclusion of both World Cups, cross-play functionality, and expanded representation across genders and platforms mark major milestones.
